Trusting in His love
Flourishing in the love of God
, by Grace Uelese
“He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.” (Proverbs 11:28). Everyday, God is wooing us to His heart through multiple avenues. On this particular day, nature was the avenue.
I saw a billboard sign as I was traveling home the other week which read something like: “Your garden needs less water than you think in the dry season.” After reading this statement, I pondered about water and its benefits, when my eyes were led to some trees on the side of the road. There were different types, each beautiful with their different shades of green, and some bearing vibrant red Bottlebrush flowers.
While admiring their beauty, I heard God ask me, “Child, have you ever seen or noticed any of these trees being unhealthy or wilted?” I immediately responded (in my mind of course!), “No Lord. They’ve always appeared to be healthy and beautiful, neither have I really seen any Council people working on them.” He continued, “Each of these trees I care for because I love them. They are a part of my creation, and just as much as I care for them, so I care and love my people; even more, this is a representation of how much I love you! I know how much water, sunshine, nutrients that each of these trees need in order to grow as beautiful and abundant as they are today, and so I want the same for you. In the past I know you’ve attempted to care and grow plants, however, they did not work out. Unfortunately, that is the natural consequence when you rely on your own strength."
"He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a brannch." ~ Proverbs 11:28
“
"I want you to understand today, that when you put your trust in Me, you will never falter neither will you ever perish. You will only grow strong and beautiful, because I am in control; I care and love you. I only desire the best for you. Trust Me, and like the trees and vibrant flowers here, flourish abundantly!”
What a mighty God we serve, to know and realise how much he cares for every detail in this earth, from nature to His children. May we always...trust in the Lord with all our heart and to not lean on our own understanding...for He has promised to direct our paths.
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. ~ Jeremiah 31:3
