Can We be Children of God?

How would you like to be the son or daughter of the most powerful Monarch in the world?
But most of us aren't related to the Kings and Queens of England or any other country! But the Bible speaks about another royal family!
Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
What did that verse say? That we are all the children of God! But how can that be? How can a no-body like me, become a child of God! Well it says in that verse that it is by "Faith in Christ Jesus".
So how does having faith in Christ Jesus make us a child of the heavenly king? And how can we understand this in a practical every-day way?
Remember when God first created human beings, he made two perfectly happy and healthy people. Adam and Eve were part of the family of God in the heavenly paradise. But when they disobeyed God, they could no longer enjoy their heavenly home, because of their sin, a large, black gulf was made between the human family and God.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your god, and your sins have hid his face from you...
But, aren't we glad things didn't end there! Just think for a moment of what Jesus went through when He left his royal palace in heaven, and forsook all of the glories of His heavenly home to come down to this dark sinful world. And how He battled with Satan and conquered him! And lived a perfect life gaining the victory over sin. And how much anguish and pain He endured as He chose to take all the sins of the world upon himself, and die on the cross. What matchless love He has! And Why? What was the purpose of all this?
Jesus did all this so that you and I could be reunited with God, so that by faith in Jesus (or by trusting in Him) we can confess our sins and have them forgiven so that we can once again, be a child of God!
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus came to this world to take away our sins, so that we could become children of God.
1. John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
And once we receive Jesus and trust in Him, he will give us power to continue to be a son or daughter of God. He will give us power so that we won't do anything that will separate us from Him.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
And all those who are sons and daughters of God have the blessed hope of seeing Jesus and being like Him when he shall appear to take his children to a new heavenly home.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God." Can any human dignity equal this? What higher position can we occupy than to be called the sons of the infinite God?
What a stupendous thought, what unheard-of condescension, what amazing love, that finite men may be allied to the Omnipotent! "To them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12). "Beloved, now are we the sons of God." Can any worldly honor equal this? [Amazing Grace page. 341]

That's right sons and daughters of god all bible versus, are good, what about our god we matter to him and our mothers does not matter we have no verse for ourselves
Dear Cheryl....It is worthy to note here that the terminology of "sons of God" refers to the (reborn) "children of God", so we could safely say "daughters of God" as well...as out of the patriarchal system the form of addressing was 'sons' but is does not exclude daughters...but a women cannot be called a son, I hope I am not confusing the issue for some...

We who have faith are children of God, because of this then we are heirs of God, and just like English monarchs get crowned as kings so will we some day in heaven, but the only difference is that we will have so much more by higher authority and we will be kings and priests. Since Jesus Christ are eldest brother is king of kings with so much authority since we are heirs of him we will have authority. Since he have acces to God we will get his acces as priest when he gets all power of heaven and earn so will we. Don't be fooled by satan because if you fall in things great but unrelated to God, you are Irving up you throne for nothing! Faithfullness is what makes us one day in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ get crowned as kings and priests. I believe the more faithful deads we do the more we become like Jesus Christ and the more others suffer in Christ then the more there like Christ. Prepared we must because one day in heaven will be crowned as kings and priests
Hello sons and daughters of the one true living God, please pray always that you will be accounted worthy to escape the hour of temptation that is going to come upon the entire world. And pray always that you will also be accounted worthy to stand in the presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
One of my sisters and I disagree on a subject and I would like to know your opinion. She says that in the new testament there are no more daughters of God, we all have become sons only.

Amen! May we fully realise the fullness and depth of this mighty legacy that God has put in our reach! So often we read these things in the Bible and gloss over them because we have read these things many times before and no fire fell from heaven, no miraculous happening took place. So we continue about our daily lives not really taking in the fullness of God's love. If we did, it would change our lives! Thanks for that encouraging message Emmanuel.

Even if our own family forsakes us, we know that God will never leave us nor forsake us!
So true Emmanuel. It is good to be part of the family of God, and to know that we are not forsaken on this dismal planet with its mulitude of problems too big for man to solve.
